All Nippon Airways' (ANA) parent company ANA Holdings (ANAHD) announced it has acquired all shares of budget subsidiary Peach Aviation.
In a statement issued on December 20, 2024, ANAHD reported it has reached an agreement with its founding partner of Peach Aviation – Hong Kong-based First Eastern Aviation Holdings (FE) – for ANAHD to acquire FE's 7% shares in Peach. As a result, ANAHD holds 100% shares of Peach Aviation.
Following its founding in 2011, Peach Aviation became a consolidated subsidiary of ANAHD in 2017. Peach Aviation currently operates flights from seven airports in Japan – Tokyo-Narita, Nagoya-Chubu, Osaka-Kansai, Fukuoka, Naha (Okinawa), Sendai, and New Chitose (Sapporo) – on 24 domestic and 13 international routes with a fleet of 36 aircraft. ANAHD stated its relationship with Peach increased inbound tourists to Japan and attracted new customers to ANA.
“As we anticipate further increase of inbound tourists, the decision to make Peach a wholly owned subsidiary is designed to build on previous growth, strengthen the ANA Group's business portfolio and increase profits,” ANAHD said.
ANAHD further stated how it will support the budget airline going forward saying: “ANAHD will support Peach's goal to become a leading LCC in Asia by leveraging the Peach corporate culture and brand and by constantly seeking and overcoming new challenges. We will continue to enhance collaboration and cooperation between Peach and various companies within the ANA Group to expand the airline business sector and improve performance while enhancing the corporate value of the ANA Group.”
ANAHD's currently has two airlines - Peach Aviation and AirJapan.
