All Nippon Airways' parent company ANA HOLDINGS (ANA HD) announced the expansion of its turboprop aircraft fleet with seven additional DHC-8-400 aircraft.

According to ANA HD, the DHC-8-400 aircraft – which has been a part of the ANA Group's fleet since November 2003 – will be modified to match the specifications of the group's existing DHC-8-400 fleet.

“De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited will procure and re-condition the aircraft that will be certified according to original manufacturer specifications and delivered to ANA under warranty,” ANA HD said in a statement.

"Our decision to expand the DHC-8-400 fleet reflects our ongoing commitment of reliable and economical aircraft that will enhance our existing fleet," said Hidekazu Yoshida, executive vice president, procurement at ANA. "De Havilland Canada's comprehensive maintenance, repair and overhaul support will help us maintain our high standards of safety and service while supporting long-term reliability."

“To modernize its fleet and prioritize customer convenience, ANA Group will gradually introduce new aircraft starting in 2025 to ensure a sustainable operational structure,” ANA HD further added.

According to planespotters.net, the Tokyo-based ANA Group has fleet of around 24 DHC-8-400s. Operated by regional subsidiary ANA Wings, each of the DHC-8-400s have 74 seats in a single-class Economy configuration.
