The Tokyo-based carrier will start to offer its inflight service – ANA Wi-Fi Service – for Business Class passengers on international flights this summer.
By March 2025, the airline will offer access to complementary texting for its Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers. The texting services include the sending and receiving of text messages online on social media and email.
According to ANA, the free inflight Wi-Fi service will not be available initially on nine aircraft including three of its 212-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft without THE Room business class product. The service will also not be available on six Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with 202 seats.
"ANA is dedicated to continuously elevating our customer experience, and the additional Wi-Fi enhancements that will be utilized for personal or business purposes is the latest offering for our passengers," said Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management and Planning of ANA. "Our ongoing efforts to expand inflight services is to provide our customers with an even more enjoyable and connected experience onboard."
First introduced 2014, ANA Wi-Fi Service allows passengers on international flights to access the internet, e-mail, and social media platforms. The offerings have since been expanded to include complimentary Wi-Fi access on domestic flights and complimentary Wi-Fi for First Class passengers on international flights.
