Air China is expanding its network in Europe this summer with a new direct flight from Chengdu to Milan, Italy.
First reported by Aeroroutes, the Beijing-based carrier will launch the new route between Chengdu Tianfu Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport on July 29. Operating three times weekly – Monday, Wednesday, Friday) – the airline will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the new route.
The new route connecting Chengdu – the capital and the largest city of the central Chinese province of Sichuan – to Milan will be Air China's fourth to the city where it currently operates flights from Beijing-Capital, Shanghai-Pudong, and Wenzhou. It will also be the airline's sixth route to Italy.
Hainan Airlines and Juneyao Air are the two other China-based carriers currently operating flights to/from Milan.
