AirAsia is expanding its international network from Kota Kinabalu further with a new route to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Malaysia-based budget airline announced starting December 3, it will launch its new service from Kota Kinabalu– AirAsia's second biggest hub after Kuala Lumpur – to Ho Chi Minh City with three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).
Ho Chi Minh City will be AirAsia's 16th international destination and the first to Vietnam from Kota Kinabalu.
From Kota Kinabalu, AirAsia will also launch flights to Kunming (September 25), Shantou (November 16), and Kaoshiung (November 17).
Between Malaysia and Vietnam, AirAsia operates flights Da Lat, Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc.
