Akasa Air will launch flights to Kuwait City.
The India-based carrier announced it will launch its first route to Kuwait City from Mumbai with daily flights from August 23.
From Mumbai the outbound flight to Kuwait City (QP571) will depart and arrive in the evening. The return flight (QP572) will depart in the late evening and arrive back at Mumbai the following morning.
According to Akasa Air, the new route will add significant passenger and cargo capacity, and capture the perennial demand for VFR and business travel between India and Kuwait.
“The addition of Kuwait adds further breadth to our international network, strengthening our position as a key player in connecting India and the Middle East,” said Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air. “Kuwait and India have historically shared strong bilateral ties, and the launch of a direct service connecting these two major cities will open more avenues for trade and tourism between the two countries.”
Kuwait City will be Akasa Air's fifth international destination. The airline's international network currently includes Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Abu Dhabi.
