All Nippon Airways to launch new routes from Haneda to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul

All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced it will add three new destinations in Europe – Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul – during the winter 2024-2025 season.


The Tokyo-based carrier announced the three new routes will depart from Tokyo Haneda Airport which will see the airline launch its first scheduled flights between Haneda and Milan, Italy. Starting December 3, ANA will operate three weekly flights  (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) from Haneda to Milan Malpensa Airport.


From January 31, 2025, ANA will launch its new route from Haneda to Stockholm – the airline's eight destination in Europe - with three weekly flights (Sunday, Tuesday, Friday). ANA states the new route to Stockholm will enhance passenger connections to the Nordic region.


To Istanbul, ANA will launch its direct route from Haneda with three weekly flight (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday) starting February 12, 2025. Customers can make connections to other destinations in the Middle East and Africa via Istanbul through ANA's Star Alliance partner airline Turkish Airlines.


ANA will deploy Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on the new route to Milan, while 787-8 aircraft will be used on the flights to Stockholm and Istanbul.


“These new routes reflect ANA’s commitment to meet the increasing demand for travel between Japan and each country” said Shinichi Inoue, President and CEO of ANA. “We hope this expansion provides our travelers with greater choice, new customer experiences and reinforces our commitment to a seamless and enjoyable journey.”


The three new routes will bring ANA's Europe network to 9 destinations. ANA currently operates flights to London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Munich. The airline will resume flights between Haneda and Vienna this August.
