US-based financial services company American Express has announced it will open a new Centurion Lounge at Tokyo Haneda Airport – the first in Japan – in 2025.
US-based financial services company American Express has announced it will open a new Centurion Lounge at Tokyo Haneda Airport – the first in Japan – in 2025.
In a release, American Express announced the new lounge will be located airside on the fourth floor at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 – the main terminal used for international flights at the Tokyo-area hub. Featuring an area of 683sqm and 122 seats, the lounge will adopt designs incorporating Japanese traditions, artisan culture, and art. Passengers will be able to experience Japanese culinary culture through the food and beverage selection.
Centurion Lounges are accessible for American Express card holders departing Terminal 3 with a Platinum, Business Platinum, or Centurion credit card.
“We are very pleased that by opening the Centurion Lounge at Haneda Airport, which has long been awaited by Japanese customers, we will be able to provide even more premium services in the field of travel,”said Yasuhiro Sudo, President and Representative Director of American Express Japan. “The Centurion Lounge is one of American Express's iconic travel services, and we promise to provide a high-quality and comfortable experience before departure to Japanese customers who use Haneda Airport for overseas travel or business trips.”

The Centurion Lounge at Haneda Airport will be the 28th location and Japan is the ninth country in its global network. American Express card holders can access lounges in the United States and eight other countries - Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
