Cathay Pacific is expanding its network in Europe with the addition of Munich, a return to Brussels.
The Hong Kong-based carrier announced it will launch the two routes during the summer of 2025, starting with its first flight to Munich, Germany on June 16, 2025. The airline will operate four weekly flights on the route - the second to Germany where the airline currently operates daily flights to Frankfurt.
Following the launch of the new route to Munich, Cathay Pacific will return to Brussels on August 3, 2025 with four weekly flights.
Cathay Pacific will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft on both newly announced routes.
“We are very excited to be adding Munich to our network for the very first time as well as returning to Brussels next year, making these our 10th and 11th destinations in Europe, respectively,” said Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Cathay Group.
Increased Flights to Europe
Along with the addition of Munich and Brussels, Cathay Pacific reported that it will add more flights to Europe during the summer 2025.
During the summer of 2025, Cathay Pacific will operate up to 93 return passenger flights weekly to Europe – up from the current 78 weekly.
“Cathay Pacific has been flying non-stop to Europe for over four decades and we remain very committed to this important market. In addition to launching these two routes, we are delighted to be adding more flights on our other European routes next summer, providing even greater choice and convenience for our customers travelling between Hong Kong and the continent,” Lau said.
To Europe, Cathay Pacific stated it will offer four-weekly flights to four cities - Munich Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona (seasonal summer service), and five daily flights to London, daily flights to six cities - Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Manchester, Milan, Paris, and Zurich,
