Cathay Pacific has revealed its new Premium Economy experience coming to its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ERs this year.


Recently, the Hong Kong-based carrier revealed the new premium Economy product for the first time at an exclusive Customer Experience Showcase at the Freespace at Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District.

According to Cathay Pacific, the new Premium Economy cabin “sets a whole new standard for comfort and privacy.” The new seats feature a leather headrest and customized seat cushions, privacy wings with a reading light next to the headrest, and a 15.6-inch 4K ultra- high-definition screen with 4K on demand and Bluetooth audio streaming. Each seat also will feature “clever” storage solutions for personal devices. 


Premium Economy passengers in the new cabin will be able to enjoy access to new, exclusive lavatories on each side of the cabin offering touch-free features. Mood lighting is also extended to all cabins – including Premium Economy.


During the event, the airline also showcased a new, exclusive selection of fine Chinese wines currently served to customers for a limited time in First and Business class, as well as recent dining collaborations with renowned Hong Kong restaurants.


In addition to its new Premium Economy product, Cathay Pacific will also introduce its  Aria Suites business class later this year on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
