Cebu Pacific is expanding its services to Bangkok with new flights to the Don Mueang Airport.

Cebu Pacific is expanding its services to Bangkok with new flights to the Don Mueang Airport.

From July 16, the Philippine budget carrier will operate three weekly flights between Manila and Don Mueang.

With the new route, Cebu Pacific will offer 17 weekly flights between Manila and the Thai capital city where it currently offers two daily flights to the main gateway Suvarnahumi Airport.

“Bangkok remains one of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia, with its majestic pagodas, flavorful cuisine, and vibrant cultural festivals. We are excited to bring more travelers to this beautiful city as we launch our operations in DMK, in our commitment to continuously provide accessible and affordable air travel to every Juan,” said Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer.

In addition to the direct flights from Manila, Cebu Pacific also operates flights from Clark to Suvarnabhumi.

Cebu Pacific will now compete with Philippines AirAsia which operates two daily flights to Don Mueang. The budget carrier along with Philippine Airlines, and THAI Airways offers multiple daily flights to Suvarnabumi.

While Suvarnabhumi is the main international air hub of Bangkok, Don Mueang Airport - the oldest in Asia and the city's former air hub - is Thailand's second busiest airport primarily serving flights operated by budget carriers.
