Cebu Pacific has announced it will add to its services between Cebu and Japan with a new route to Osaka.

From October 15, the Manila-based budget carrier will launch a four-times weekly service (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) between Cebu and Kansai International Airport near Osaka.

Cebu Pacific will be the lone airline to offer flights between Cebu and Osaka, and will add to its current flights from the central Philippine city to Tokyo Narita Airport.

“We thrilled to launch direct flights from Cebu to Osaka,” said Xander Lao, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Cebu Pacific. “With Japan being a top-of-mind destination for many Filipino travelers, the new route will surely give them the opportunity to visit one of the country’s dynamic cities. We also hope that this launch can encourage more travelers from Japan to explore the beauty of the Philippines,”

Osaka will be second new international route to be launched from Cebu by Cebu Pacific this fall. A new thrice-weekly service from Cebu to Bangkok Don Mueang Airport will be launched by the budget airline on October 2.

Including Bangkok and Osaka, Cebu Pacific will offer flights to six international destinations from Cebu by year's end. The airline currently offers flights from Cebu to Hong Kong, Seoul-Incheon, Singapore, and Tokyo Narita.
