Cebu Pacific to launch new Davao-Bangkok route, additional domestic flights from southern Philippine city

Cebu Pacific has announced it will restore international flight services from the southern Philippine city of Davao with the first route from the city to Bangkok.


In a statement, the Manila-based budget carrier announced it will launch a new route from Davao to Bangkok-Don Mueang Airport with three weekly flights starting October 28.


Davao will the third Philippine city with a direct link to Don Mueang Airport - Bangkok's oldest airport and secondary hub. Cebu Pacific first launched flights from Manila to Don Mueang on July 16. Cebu Pacific will launch a thrice-weekly service from Cebu to Don Mueang on October 2.


Additionally, Cebu Pacific will also launch three domestic routes from Davao. The airline will resume flights to Caticlan and Puerto Princesa with daily flights each from October 27. Then a thrice weekly service on a new route to Tacloban will start on October 29.


“We are excited to restore international flights and operate additional domestic routes from our hub in Mindanao. Through Cebu Pacific’s extensive network and value-for-money fares, more travelers from Davao will now be able to discover what the Philippines and the rest of the world has to offer,” said Xander Lao, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Cebu Pacific.

Bangkok will be the lone international route Cebu Pacific will offer from Davao, where the airline offers domestic flights to Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Manila, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga. The airline previously announced it will resume flights to Clark on October 22.
