Cebu Pacific will resume international flights from the central Philippine city of Iloilo to Hong Kong and Singapore.

First revealed during the 33rd Visayas Area Business Conference held on Friday (July 26) in Iloilo City, the Manila-based budget carrier will mount daily flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong from October 27.

Meanwhile according to a report from the Philippine Star, the resumption of the airline's Iloilo-Singapore route is pending regulatory approvals.

“The Singapore (flight from Iloilo) is pending complete requirements, but it is okay already. It is pending regulatory approvals, but that connection should happen,” Cebu Pacific spokeswoman Carmina Romero was quoted in the report.

Cebu Pacific last operated international flights from Iloilo to both Asian hubs before the pandemic. The budget airline currently connects Iloilo to six domestic destinations – Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Manila, and Puerto Princesa. Direct flights between Iloilo and Clark will resume on October 21.
