While no exact date for the route launch was stated, the resumption of Delta's flights between the two cities with three weekly flights scheduled in June 2025. The Atlanta-based carrier will use Airbus A350 aircraft featuring its Delta One Suites, Delta Premium select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin experiences.
With the return of its Los Angeles-Shanghai flights, Delta will operate 17 weekly flights between the US and China including its existing flights from Detroit and Seattle.
Between Los Angeles and Shanghai, United and China Eastern currently operates flights on the route.
