The Dubai-based carrier announced its first A350-900 is expected to enter service on September 15 on daily flights between Dubai and Bahrain (EK839/EK840), before being deployed to eight more destinations in the Middle East/GCC, India/Sri Lanka, and Europe.
With 65 A350-900s on order, the airline expects to take on the first 10 of the aircraft by March 2025.
Following the inaugural Emirates A350 flight to Bahrain, Emirates will further increase the services with the aircraft to cover two Bahrain services from November 1. Emirates will then introduce the A350 on daily flights to Kuwait (EK853/EK854) the following day (September 16), before being deployed on daily flights to Muscat, Oman (EK866/EK867) on December 1.
Emirates stated the first A350 flights to India will be on October 27, as the aircraft will be operated on EK502/EK503 to Mumbai and EK538/EK539 to Ahmedabad. On January 1, 2025, Emirates will then deploy its A350 on its fourth daily service to Colombo, Sri Lanka (EK654/EK655).
The airline announced Edinburgh will the first European destination it will introduce its A350s to on November 4 as the city rejoins Emirates' network. Then, Emirates will operate its A350s to Lyon, France and Bologna, Italy from December 1.
According to Emirates, the introduction of the widebody Airbus jets will offer more opportunities for customers to experience its Premium Economy product and its next generation Business Class for the first time on short and medium haul routes in the Middle East and GCC, West Asia and Europe.

The airline's first 10 A350-900s will be equipped with 312 seats – 32 Business, 21 Premium, and 259 Economy.
