Emirates has announced it will introduce its recently retrofitted Boeing 777s on flights to eight more destinations
The Dubai-based airline announced the deployment of the retrofitted 777s to Lisbon, Dublin, Hong Kong, Male, Kolkata, Colombo, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. The airline listed the schedules for the deployment of the aircraft as follows:
Lisbon – From June 1, all flights including EK191/EK192 and EK193/EK194
Dublin – From June 25 on EK161/EK162
Hong Kong Second Chinese destination; EK382/EK383 from July 15
Maldives – From June 1 on EK658/EK659, and EK656/EK657 and EK660/EK661 from July 115
Kolkata – Four weekly flights on EK572/EK573 from August 10
Colombo – From August 10 on EK650/EK651
Johannesburg – From September 1 on EK765/EK766, and EK761/EK762 from September 25
Cape Town – From September 20 on EK770/EK771
In addition, Emirates will also use the retrofitted Boeing 777s on its second daily flight between Dubai and London Stansted (EK67/EK68) from June 1.
Emirates' refurbished 777s feature a four-class configuration which includes its new Premium Economy and Business Class products.
By September 2025, Emirates plans to serve 44 cities with the fleet of refurbished Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft.
