Emirates and Garuda Indonesia is expanding their partnership to offer more benefits for members of each airlines' frequent flier programs.

The new joint loyalty program agreement – signed during Aviation Festival Asia 2025 in Singapore – will allow members of Emirates Skywards and GarudaMiles to earn and redeem points while travelling across both airlines' combined network of more than 200 destinations.

The new agreement expands the partnership between Emirates and Garuda Indonesia. The two carriers launched a codeshare agreement in 2022.

As part of the new agreement, Emirates' customers will be able to earn and redeem Skywards points on Garuda Indonesia flights across the Indonesian flag carrier's domestic network covering 37 destinations along with 15 international destinations.

“This strategic collaboration aligns with Skywards' vision of creating a truly global loyalty experience for our members worldwide,” said Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates. “It will open new doors for frequent flyers to earn and redeem miles across our combined networks, while also expanding our renowned loyalty offering in Southeast Asia. We look forward to growing this partnership and delivering even greater value to our members.”

In return, the joint loyalty program agreement will expand Garuda Indonesia customers' and GarudaMiles members opportunities to access Emirates' global network.

“We are thrilled to present this enhanced value partnership for both Garuda Indonesia and Emirates loyal passengers,” said Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, President and CEO, Garuda Indonesia. “With this new joint loyalty programme, Garuda Indonesia represents its commitment to always deliver exciting offers to our GarudaMiles members while adding more benefits for Skywards members.”

Wamildan added: “Giving more opportunities to earn and redeem miles seamlessly across both networks globally, this initiative will unlock more destinations for our members, particularly Skywards members to explore the magnificent scenic landscape and vary of cultural richness and diversity in Indonesia through Garuda Indonesia domestic flights. GarudaMiles members, on the other hand, may enjoy stunning international cities with Emirates' large connectivity.”

Emirates currently operates two daily flights each to Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali) using Airbus A380 superjumbo and Boeing 777 aircraft.
