Emirates has announced the next seven cities where it will deploy its recently delivered Airbus A350 aircraft, which will include the first city in Southeast Asia welcome the new aircraft
The Dubai, UAE-based airline announced the seven cities including the following: Tunis, Amman, Istanbul, Dammam, Ho Chi Minh City, Baghdad, and Oslo.
Among the cities added to Emirates' A350 destinations, Ho Chi Minh City will be the first city in Southeast Asia to see the deployment of the A350.
The schedule for the A350 introduction on the listed routes between June and September below:
Tunis - From June 1; six-times weekly (except Tuesday) on EK747/EK748
Amman – From June 1; daily on EK905/EK906
Istanbul – From July 1; daily on EK117/EK118
Dammam – From July 1; EK827/EK828
Ho Chi Minh City – From August 3; EK364/EK365
Baghdad – From August 3; three times weekly (Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday) on EK941/EK942
Oslo – From September 1; EK159/EK160
In a statement, Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates said: “Our strategic A350 expansion across diverse geographies in the Middle East/GCC, Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia leverages the aircraft’s operational flexibility and efficiency, while offering more customers expanded premium travel options and the opportunity to experience our latest generation interiors like Business Class and Premium Economy along with plenty of thoughtful touches throughout every cabin, now available in more cities than ever before.”
In addition to the new routes, Emirates will expand its flights using the A350 to Bahrain and Kuwait. The A350 will be used on the third daily flight to Bahrain (EK835/EK836) from June 1, making the services to the city operated by all-A350 aircraft. A second daily flight to Kuwait (EK857/EK858) will see the use of the A350 from October 1.
Emirates will also move up the deployment of the A350 to Bologna on June 1.
