Emirates has announced it will add three new destinations in Asia this summer – Da Nang, Vietnam; Siem Reap, Cambodia; and Shenzhen, China.

The Dubai-based airline will launch its new service to Da Nang via Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) with a four-times weekly service (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) from June 2. Using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, Emirates stated the flights will provide travelers “convenient, optimized connections” to major European cities including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, and Rome, as well as major cities in the US.

On the launch of the new service to Da Nang, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim said: “Vietnam holds a strategic place in our Southeast Asia network. Our decision to expand operations to Da Nang as our third point in Vietnam comes at an opportune moment, following the landmark Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam. We are confident that our new service will elevate the existing bilateral trade and commercial collaboration between our nations.”

In addition to the new Dubai-Bangkok-Da Nang service, Emirates will also launch new flights to Siem Reap via Bangkok from June 3. Operating three-times weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) using 777-300ER aircraft, the flights to/from Siem Reap are timed to offer leisure travelers connects from France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia.

Emirates stated it will use its two-class 777-300ERs with 421 seats - 35 lie flat seats in Business and 386 Economy on its flights to Da Nang and Siem Reap.

The new flights to Da Nang and Siem Reap will add to Emirates' Fifth Freedom flights from Bangkok. In addition to its flights to its hub at Dubai, Emirates operates flights to Hong Kong from Bangkok.

Da Nang will be Emirates' third destination in Vietnam, where the airline currently operates flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Siem Reap will be the second in Cambodia after Phnom Penh.

Expansion in China with New Route to Shenzhen

Emirates is continuing to expand its presence in mainland China with a new route to Shenzhen – home of China's technology and innovation hub.

From July 1, Emirates will operate daily flights between Dubai and Shenzhen. Shenzhen will be the first mainland Chinese destination to see the deployment of its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring its newest Business Class seats and Premium Economy product.

Emirates' retrofitted 777-300ER is configured with 332 seats in a four-class configuration – including 8 private First Class suites, 40 lie flat Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy, and 260 Economy.

According to Emirates, the new flights have been scheduled to optimize connections to/from key points across Africa, the Middle East/GCC, Europe, United States, and South America.

The new service will add to Emirates' freighter operations to/from China, where it currently transports 2,000 tonnes of cargo each week from the Chinese mainland. Emirates expects to carry 10 tonnes of cargo per week between Shenzhen and Dubai which will include high-tech devices and e-commerce items.

Shenzhen will be Emirates' fourth destination in mainland China, where it operates flights to Beijing (Capital), Shanghai (Pudong), and Guangzhou.
