Emirates has announced it plans to deploy its newly retrofitted Boeing 777s to two more cities – Zurich and Riyadh.

From October 1, the Dubai-based carrier will operate the retrofitted 777s – featuring First Class suites and its new Premium Economy product – to/from Zurich on flights EK85/EK86. The same day, the aircraft will also operate to Riyadh - the first destination in the Middle East/GCC to welcome the retrofitted aircraft - as EK819/EK820.

In addition, Emirates will also add more flights with the 777s to Geneva and Brussels. From September 22, the airline use the retrofitted aircraft on all of its flights to Geneva – the first destination with all flights with the aircraft – on EK89/EK90. Its second retrofitted Boeing 777 will be deployed six-times weekly to Brussels as EK181/EK182 from October 9.

Emirates recently welcomed its first newly retrofitted 777 earlier this year, and has since deployed them on flights to Geneva and Brussels. The airline's new 777 cabin features a new First Class cabin, the installation of 38 new Business Class seats in an updated 1-2-1 configuration, 24 of the latest Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy seats.

The 777 refurbishment is part of Emirates' USD $3 billion retrofit program covering a total of 191 Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft. Emirates currently deploys its refurbished A380s with its new Premium Economy seats to New York-JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, London-Heathrow, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne, Singapore, Mumbai, Bangalore, Sao Paulo, Tokyo-Narita, and Osaka.

With the anticipated addition of the Airbus A350 aircraft to its fleet later this year and the completion of more aircraft refitting, Emirates plans to offer its Premium Economy seats to a total of 36 destinations by February 2025.
