As part of updates to its winter season operations, Etihad has announced an increase of its flights between Abu Dhabi and Boston from four weekly flights to once daily starting October 27. Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will be used featuring 290 seats – including 28 of its Business Studio suites and 262 Economy seats.
According to Etihad, the decision to increase its services Boston is based on the route's strong performance three months after its introduction. “Our Boston service continues to perform strongly, with our flights near capacity since our inaugural flight in Boston this March,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad. “Having already experienced record passenger demand, we’re excited to invest further in the North American market by expanding our flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season.”
Airbus A350 to Toronto
Along with announcing its increase of flights to Boston, Etihad also announced on the same day (October 27) it will introduce its Airbus A350 aircraft to Toronto.
Travelers flying on Etihad's daily Abu Dhabi-Toronto route will get to experience one of the carrier's newer aircraft with its latest cabin interiors. The aircraft features 44 of its Business Studio suites.
"The Airbus A350 is setting new standards for air travel, with increased efficiencies and comfort. The introduction of the A350 to Toronto aligns with our strategy to meet increasing customer demand and expand our network.” De said.
