From May 29, the Abu Dhabi-based airline will launch direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Sochi – located along the north-east coast of the Black Sea – with a thrice-weekly schedule (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
According to Etihad, it will use its Airbus A320 aircraft with 158 seats – 8 Business and 150 Economy – on the new route.
Sochi will be Etihad's 14th destination it will add to its network in 2025. The airline is adding routes across its network to cities including Atlanta, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Taipei, Prague, Warsaw, Chiang Mai, Krabi, and Phnom Penh.
Etihad currently operates flights to two cities in Russia – the capital city of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
