Fiji Airways will launch a new connection to Dallas, Texas this winter.

Announced by Fiji Airways and DFW AIRPORT, Fiji Airways will introduce the first ever non-stop service between Nadi, Fiji and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport starting December 10 with three-weekly flights.

With an estimated flight time of 13 hours each direction, the new non-stop service – subject to US government regulatory approvals - will be served with Airbus A350-900WXB aircraft with 334 seats (33 Business and 301 Economy).

In a statement, Fiji Airways Chief Executive Officer and Managing DirectorAndre Viljoen  said: “Introducing a direct service between Fiji and Dallas is a really exciting milestone for Fiji Airways, as we continue to increase Fiji’s connectivity with the United States and beyond offering our guests more travel options.”

“DFW is excited to add the beautiful islands of Fiji to our growing portfolio of international destinations, bringing North Texas nonstop access to a tropical paradise and connecting Nadi with DFW’s network of more than 250 destinations around the world,” said Sean Donohue, DFW’s Chief Executive Officer.

Dallas will be Fiji Airways' 24th international destination, and the fifth in North America (US and Canada) where it currently operates flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Vancouver. The new route is expected to be a boost to the tourism industry of the island nation.

Fiji Airways’ new direct route to Dallas is an exciting development for Fiji and will help pave the way for expanded opportunities in tourism and trade between our two nation,” said  Fijian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics, Hon Professor Biman Prasad. “Dallas has immense potential as a new source market for Fiji’s tourism industry, with DFW International Airport currently ranked the third-busiest airport in the world and the state of Texas home to some of the fastest-growing counties in the United States.”

Fiji Airways further stated the new service to Dallas will complement its other initiatives, including plans to join the Dallas-based American Airlines' AAadvantage loyalty program in the coming year. Currently a oneworld connect partner airline, it will become the 15th full member airline of the oneworld alliance in 2025.
