The Indian budget airline announced another firm agreement with Norse Atlantic for the three 787-9s which are expected to be delivered in the second half of 2025. The initial term of the agreement is six months and can be extended to up to 18 months subject to regulatory approvals.
In its statement, IndiGo said: "These aircraft will be arriving in India in the second half of 2025 and will be serving long-haul routes out of India. This significant milestone affirms IndiGo’s strategic commitment to broadening its global presence and offering its customers a wider range of travel opportunities.”
IndiGo previously received its first leased 787-9 from Norse Atlantic, which will be used on flights between Delhi and Bangkok starting March 1. The airline will have four of the widebody jets leased from Norse Atlantic.
