Air China is partnering with The New Terminal One (NTO) at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to enhance the travel experience for Chinese customers visiting the United States.

According to the NTO, the partnership aims to provide a world-class experience for Chinese customers upon the opening of the dedicated international terminal project at JFK Airport in 2026.

"We are honored to collaborate with our colleagues at Air China to jointly deliver an extraordinary travel experience for Chinese customers visiting New York," said Jennifer Aument, CEO, The New Terminal One at JFK. "Service to the Asia Pacific region is a strong priority for us and we are delighted to learn from Air China as we position ourselves to be the international terminal of choice for Chinese travelers to New York."

"New York is one of our most important markets globally and we are committed to offering our customers a world-class travel experience when they fly to the Big Apple,” added Zhiyong Wang, New York General Manager, Air China. “Our partnership with The New Terminal One will create mutual benefits as we continue to evaluate our growth in this key market."

The Beijing-based carrier currently operates its flights between Beijing and New York at the existing Terminal 1 at JFK Airport.

The NTO is part of New York City Port Authority's USD $19 billion transformation of JFK Airport. Currently built on sites now occupied by the current Terminal 1, the first phase – including the new arrivals and departure halls, and the first 14 gates – is expected to be opened 2026. The project completion is expected to take place in 2030. With a designed area of 2.4 million square feet featuring 23 gates, it will be the largest terminal at JFK Airport.

In addition to Air China, several airlines including Air France, KLM, Etihad Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Korean Air, EVA Air, and Air Serbia have committed to operate out of the NTO.
