As Jetstar Asia returned to Clark International Airport in the Philippines, the airline announced it will increase its flights to the airport north of Manila later this year.
The Singapore-based Jetstar carrier announced the service increase following the completion of its first flight of the relaunch of its Singapore-Clark route on June 16. The airline will continue to operate four weekly flights on the route before increasing it to five-times weekly from October 18.
According to Jetstar Asia, it will offer more than 90,000 seats on the route next year.
“Clark serves as an important hub for both business and leisure travellers, and we are excited to offer more travel options for our customers,” Geoffrey Lui, COO, Jetstar Asia. “With so many reasons to visit Clark, our crew and our passengers have been looking forward to our return to this popular destination so it’s great to add Clark back to our network.”
Jetstar Asia's return to Clark Airport took place on June 16, with the outbound flight from Singapore to Clark – 3K775 – carried 164 passengers. The return flight – 3K776 – departed back for Singapore with 173 passengers.
“This eagerly anticipated event is not just a moment of celebration, but a showcase of the relationship history between Clark International Airport and Jetstar Asia,” added Noel Manankil, President and CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp.
From Singapore, Clark is Jetstar Asia's second destination in the Philippines. The airline also offers flights between Singapore and Manila.
