Jetstar Asia has announced it will resume flights between Singapore and Medan, Indonesia after a pause of four years.
The Singapore-based Jetstar group carrier announced it will launch the Singapore-Medan (Kualanamu International Airport) route on November 1, with daily flights offering morning and afternoon/evening departures in both directions.
Medan will be Jetstar Asia's fourth destination in Indonesia, where it currently operates flights to Jakarta, Denpasar, and Surabaya. Jetstar Asia will be the only airline to offer direct flights on the route.
“Indonesia is a key market for our business and leisure travelers and with the reintroduction of our services to Medan, we’ll now be operating over 40 flights into Indonesia each week,” John Simeone, CEO, Jetstar Asia.
According to Jetstar Asia, the daily Singapore-Medan flights is expected to serve 130,000 travelers between both cities.
