Korean Air has announced it will launch a new route to Kobe, Japan.
From April 18, Korean Air will operate two daily flights between Seoul Incheon Airport and Kobe – located 30 kilometers west of Osaka.
With the new route, Korean Air will be the first Korean flag carrier to operate flights to Kobe International Airport. Built on a man-made island similar to Kansai Airport off the coast of Kobe, Kobe Airport primarily serves domestic flights.
Recently, new international routes to Kobe have been announced. Taiwan-based Starlux will launch two new routes to/from Kobe – from Taipei Taoyuan and Taichung from April 18.
The new service will add to Korean Air's services to Japan's Kansai region, which has been served with its flights to Kansai International Airport.
