Korean Air will operate seasonal charter flights to Taichung, Taiwan this summer.


The Seoul-based carrier will operate three weekly flights between Seoul-Incheon and Taichung (every Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday) from May 2 to June 29.


The route will be served by the airline's Boeing 737-8 aircraft (737 MAX 8) with 146 seats – 8 Prestige class and 138 Economy.


With the new service, Korean Air will operate a total of 24 flights per week between Korea and Taiwan. The airline currently operates 14 weekly flights between Incheon and Taipei, and 7 between Busan and Taipei.


The Incheon-Taichung route is currently served by South Korean budget carrier T'Way Air. 


Located around 140 kilometers (87 miles) south of the Taiwanese capital of Taipei along the west coast of the country, Taichung is Taiwan's second largest city.
