Malaysia Airlines to add third daily flight to Sydney

Just after announcing it will make its return to Brisbane, Malaysia Airlines is expanding its services in Australia with a third flight to Sydney.


The new Kuala Lumpur-Sydney service will operate as MH251, departing from Kuala Lumpur at 2000H and arrive in Sydney at 0635H the following morning. The return flight – MH250 – will depart Sydney at 0925H and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at around 1615H the same afternoon. Malaysia Airlines will use its Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the new route.


According to Sydney Airport, Malaysia Airlines' capacity on the Sydney-Kuala Lumpur route will be increased to more than 630,000 per year.


With the third daily flight (all three using Airbus A330 aircraft), Malaysia Airlines will offer departures on the Kuala Lumpur-Sydney route in the morning in addition to the two in the evening. From Sydney, departures will be in the morning, afternoon, and evening.  


Currently operating flights to Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne, Malaysia Airlines recently announced it will resume flights to Brisbane on November 29.
