To meet the heightened travel demand during the upcoming December festive season and Chinese New Year celebrations, Malaysia Airlines announced the addition of 112 extra flights between Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia. The Malaysian flag carrier will add a seventh daily flight to Jakarta.
To meet the heightened travel demand during the upcoming December festive season and Chinese New Year celebrations, Malaysia Airlines announced the addition of 112 extra flights between Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia. The Malaysian flag carrier will add a seventh daily flight to Jakarta.
Between December 19 and January 1, Malaysia Airlines will operate112 additional red-eye flights. Included are 66 additional flights to/from Sabah – serving Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau. Another 46 additional flights will be operated to/from Sarawak- serving Kuching and Miri. The combined total of flights that will be operated by the airline from Kuala Lumpur to East Malaysia will up to 596.
For the Chinese New Year season, Malaysia Airlines will operate 102 additional red-eye flights between January 24 and February 4, 2025 to Sabah and Sarawak. 219 weekly flights will be operated to/from the two regions.
In addition to the domestic capacity boost, Malaysia Airlines will introduce a seventh daily flight from Kuaal Lumpur to Jakarta from January 28, 2025.
