Norse Atlantic Airways has announced it will launch a new connection between Sweden and Thailand next winter.

The Norway-based long-haul budget carrier stated it will start direct flights between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 29, 2025. Operating twice-weekly (Sunday, Wednesday), Norse Atlantic will use Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the route featuring 338 seats offering Premium and Economy options.

“There is great confidence in the Swedish air travel market and Norse’s investment in a direct route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Int'l is a clear sign of this,” said Jonas Abrahamsson, President and CEO of Sweden-based airport operator Swedavia. “Norse will play an important role in connecting Sweden to Thailand. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase the connectivity, and this addition to the airports overall offer further facilitates for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends.”

“With our entry in Sweden and the launch of our Stockholm-Bangkok route, Norse Atlantic Airways is redefining long-haul travel, challenging a market long dominated by legacy carriers,” said Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways.

The new route will be in addition to Norse Atlantic Airways flights between Suvarnabhumi and Oslo, Norway.

THAI Airways currently is the lone airline offering flights between Suvarnabhumi and Stockholm.
