Philippine Airlines will expand its domestic network in the northern Philippines with the launch of flights to Cauayan, Isabela next year.
From January 15, 2025, the Manila-based carrier will launch daily flights from Manila to Cauayan using 86-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft. According to Philippine Airlines, the outbound flights will depart Manila in the early afternoon, while the return flight will depart Cauayan in the mid afternoon.
The new route is expected to provide residents in Northern Luzon an alternative to traveling by land – a +10 hour trip – between the two cities each way, which also will open connections to other Philippine Airlines' domestic and international destinations.
“We will welcome 2025 with our new Manila-Cauayan-Manila service, commencing on January 15th, 2025,” said Rabbi Vincent Ang, President, PAL Express. “Philippine Airlines looks forward to serving the people of Isabela province with our daily flights as our latest investment in building connectivity between key cities in Luzon for the benefit of local tourism and economic growth.”
Cebu Pacific currently operates daily flights between Manila and Cauayan.
