Boeing has announced another commitment for its 777X – the latest variant of the 777 family of aircraft – from Qatar Airways.
Boeing has announced another commitment for its 777X – the latest variant of the 777 family of aircraft – from Qatar Airways.
During the second day of the Farnborough Airshow 2024, the Doha-based airline announced the expansion of its orders for 777X aircraft to include an additional 20 777-9s.
The additional 777Xs will bring Qatar Airways' orders for the aircraft – commercial and cargo – to 94. The 777-9s will make up a majority of the orders with 60 aircraft. Qatar Airways will be the inaugural launch customer of the 777-8 Freighter.

In addition to the 777X family, Qatar Airways has 12 787 Dreamliner and 25 737 MAX on order.
