Qatar Airways is expanding its presence in Canada with the addition of Toronto to its network.

The Doha-based carrier announced it will launch a new, thrice-weekly service (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday) from Doha to Toronto starting December 11. Qatar Airways will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 354 seats – including 42 Qsuite Business Class and 312 Economy.

According to Qatar Airways, the new service to Toronto will provide travelers from Canada connections to the airline's network, including Colombo, Bangkok, Delhi, Kathmandu, and Mumbai.

“The Toronto route is a strong and enduring commitment towards providing Qatar Airways’ Canadian customers with the enhanced connectivity they deserve, as well as access to our world-leading service and Qsuite in-flight product,” said Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Airways Group.

Toronto will be Qatar Airways' second destination in Canada, adding to the airline's daily flights to/from Montreal. The airline offers flights to 14 destinations in North America.

“The addition of a fourteenth gateway to our Americas network is also a testament to our aim in maintaining a key presence across the local market, and cements our reputation as a reliable global connector,” Al-Meer added.
