Qatar Airways is expanding its network in Africa with an increase in flights to Luanda, Angola, and the addition of flights to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
From June 1, the Doha-based carrier will increase its flights to Luanda from one to four weekly flights with a combined service to Kinshasa. The flights – operating as QR1491 and QR1489 – will depart Doha for Luanda. After arriving in Luanda, the flight will depart again for Kinshasa before returning back to Doha.
The airline will use its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 254 seats – 22 Business and 232 Economy – on the route.
According to Qatar Airways, the latest network expansion provides passengesr with greater travel choices within a key region in Africa, opening up a new entry point for interantional travel from Africa to China, Europe, and the India via Doha.
With the addition of Kinshasa, Qatar Airways will operate flights to 29 destinations in Africa.
