Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced it will invest SGD $45 million (~USD $34.3 million) to renovate its lounges at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2.
The Singaporean national airline announced the renovations of both the SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Terminal 2 from April 15 and continue for the next two years.
Progressing in phases, SIA stated the completion of the renovation work is scheduled for mid-2027. Construction of the new First Class SilverKris Lounge started on April 15 and will be completed by the 4Q 2025. Work on the Business Class Silver KrisFlyer Lounge is expected to start in the 4Q 2025, and the new KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in the 1H 2026.
In a statement, Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior VP Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines said: “Building on the success of our Terminal 3 lounges, we are extending our signature hospitality and thoughtfully curated offerings to Terminal 2. This upgrade reaffirms our continued dedication to providing a seamless, world-class experience that meets the high expectations of our discerning customers.”
Once completed, the upgraded lounges' area and seating capacity will be increased by 50% and feature signature elements from the airline's flagship lounges at Terminal 3.
Among the new amenities that will be featured in the renovated lounges include live cooking stations in the First Class SilverKris Lounge, a quiet rest area and redesigned living room area in the Business Class SilverKris Lounge, and in-lounge restrooms and shower suites in the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.
