THAI Airways (THAI) and Kuwait Airways have announced they have strengthened their relationship with a new codeshare partnership covering flights between Kuwait City and Bangkok, as well as from Kuwait City to destinations in Europe.
THAI Airways (THAI) and Kuwait Airways have announced they have strengthened their relationship with a new codeshare partnership covering flights between Kuwait City and Bangkok, as well as from Kuwait City to destinations in Europe.
According to a statement from THAI, Kuwait Airways will add its KU flight code on flights operated by THAI between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur starting today (June 26). In return, THAI will add its TG flight code on flights between Kuwait and Bangkok, and also to destinations in Europe including Rome and Athens.
“Both carriers firmly believe that this agreement will enhance commercial and tourism relations between Kuwait and Thailand,” said Captain Ahmad M. Alkreebani, CEO, Kuwait Airways.
As both THAI and Kuwait Airways announced the new codeshare partnership, both carriers have stated their intentions to expand it to cover more destinations in the Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Any further expansion of the codeshare partnership is subject to government approval.
“The codeshare agreement will offer passengers greater choices in traveling between Bangkok and Kuwait city, with access to other parts of the Middle East, North Africa and European countries,” Khun Chai Eamsiri, CEO, THAI. “We look forward to developing the relationship further, and introducing more added-value benefits in the future enhancing our seamless connectivity and offering passengers with more options and experiences.”
Between Bangkok and Kuwait City, Kuwait Airways operates daily flights to/from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
