Vietjet will add new direct flights to Melbourne and Hiroshima this summer.

During the recent Vietnam-Australia Business Forum 2024, Vietjet announced plans to launch flights between Hanoi and Melbourne starting June 3 with two weekly flights. The new route will add to Vietjet's current services to Melbourne from Ho Chi Minh City.

Combined, Vietjet operates 58 weekly flights from Ho Chi Minh City to five points in Australia- Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide – using Airbus A330 and A321 aircraft.

Hanoi-Hiroshima

In a separate announcement, Vietjet announced plans to expand its presence in Japan with a new direct link between Hanoi and Hiroshima, Japan starting May 12.

Operating twice-weekly, the new Hanoi-Hiroshima route will add to Vietjet's current services from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to four other destinations in Japan including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

According to Vietjet, passengers can connect from the Hanoi and Hiroshima to various destinations in Vietnam and the region by Vietjet's routes.
