Vietnam Airlines has announced it will operate daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar (Bali) starting June 1.
Announced during an official announcement ceremony held in Jakarta, Indonesia, the new Ho Chi Minh City-Denpasar route will be the second route operated by Vietnam Airlines between Vietnam and Indonesia. The Vietnamese flag carrier currently operates daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City and the Indonesian capital city of Jakarta.
Between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar, Vietnam Airlines will operate four weekly flights (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday) from June 1 before going daily from July. Airbus A321 aircraft will be used on the route.
“With this strategic expansion, Vietnam Airlines reaffirms its commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, boosting tourism, and fostering stronger cultural ties between Vietnam and Indonesia,” the airline wrote on a post on LinkedIn.
The national airline will compete with budget carrier Vietjet on the route connecting Vietnam's most populated city and the popular Indonesian resort destination.
