Vietnam Airlines will boost its services to Beijing with the addition of a new route to Beijing Daxing Airport.

From March 30, Vietnam's flag carrier will launch its new route between Ho Chi Minh City and Daxing Airport – the newest and largest of the two Beijing-area air hubs – with five weekly flights (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). Vietnam Airlines will use Airbus A321 aircraft on the route.

In addition, Vietnam Airlines will also increase the frequency of flights on its Hanoi-Beijing Capital route to daily.

Between Ho Chi Minh City and Beijing, Air China operates daily flights departing from Beijing Capital Airport.

“The launch of the new route and increased flight frequency to Beijing will provide passengers with more travel options, especially for those flying from southern Vietnam to the Chinese capital without the need for layovers,” Vietnam Airlines said in a statement.

With the addition of the new Ho Chi Minh City-Daxing route, Vietnam Airlines will operate flights on six routes between Vietnam and Mainland China. The airline currently operates flights on the following routes: Hanoi-Beijing, Hanoi-Shanghai Pudong, Ho Chi Minh-Shanghai, Hanoi-Guangzhou, and Ho Chi Minh City-Guangznou.

By the summer, Vietnam Airlines will operate a total of 40 weekly flights between Vietnam and China.
