ZIPAIR Tokyo is expanding its trans-Pacific flight offerings with the addition of Houston, Texas to its network.

The long-haul budget brand of Japan Airlines (JAL) announced it will launch a new, four-times weekly service (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) between Tokyo-Narita Airport and Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport using its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Houston will be ZIPAIR Tokyo's fifth destination in North America, where it currently operates flights to three US west coast cities – Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Francisco – along with Vancouver, Canada.

ZIPAIR Tokyo will be third airline – and the first budget airline - to offer flights between Tokyo and Houston.  Star Alliance carriers All Nippon Airways (ANA) and United offer daily flights between the two cities, with ANA's flights operating to/from Haneda while United's operate out of Narita.
